New Announcement
Hi Everyone!
As we close out the course we always think it's fun to use the different mapping tools to show you where all your fellow course participants are located. The first map is using Esri ArcGIS Online and I used a heat map styling to show you where student clusters are. The second map is with Google My Maps and I added a custom icon to each country where participants are located.
Best,

New Announcement
Hi all,
We hope you enjoyed Week 2! With a little help from Dr. Jane, you should all be feeling confident about STEP 1, getting students engaged. We were glad to
see some discussions happening in the Forum about how important it is to engage youth to combat indifference and think before they act.
This week, we are going to explore STEP 2: Map It! Community mapping helps your learners identify where they can make a difference in their own community.
This week, you'll have the opportunity to use Esri ArcGIS Online for your community mapping. To access ArcGIS Online using the Roots & Shoots Organization
account, sign up here.
As always, please post any questions in the Forum, or if you prefer, email us at: rsonlinelearning@janegoodall.org.
All the best,

In Week 1, we introduced you to Roots & Shoots and our take on Service Learning. This week, we will begin exploring the Roots & Shoots Formula with
STEP 1: Get Engaged. We have our first guest instructor, Dr. Jane, stopping by to share one of her favorite stories about getting young people excited about
making a difference.
